May 8, 2018

The one accessory you MUST have, not just this summer but throughout the year are sunglasses– and preferably a meticulously curated selection of them, in different shapes, sizes and colours. If you look at the sunglass collections from all the big brands you will notice a trend- they all copy the styles from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s sunglasses as the best inspirations comes from the past.

Wearing vintage sunglasses is not just a trend, it’s a lifestyle that a few select people live looking for and collection limited edition and hard to find eyewear. Sunglasses are the first thing you notice when looking at someone’s face so they are an important make or break fashion accessory. You can make the most out of your first impression by wearing a cool pair of vintage sunglasses.

There were two shapes which disrupted the eyewear market in the 1960s- the cat-eye and the oversized sunglasses originally worn by Jackie Kennedy. It was the period when sunglasses started to become a fashion accessory used by celebrities and movie stars as a part of their personal style. From then onwards different shapes and sizes emerged with the most iconic ones being the  cat-eye, the Kurt Cobain’s Christian Roth’s, the Elvis Presley’s Neo style Nautic, the John Lennon’s Teashades, the Browline sunglasses and the fable rose coloured sunglasses.
